Sublimation Transfer for Shirts
Ready-to-press sublimation transfer designed for T-shirts and sweatshirts.
Size: Approximately 11–12 inches wide or long, depending on the orientation and shape of the design.
About Sublimation: Don’t worry if your transfer looks lighter or more faded on the paper. This is completely normal with sublimation. The colours activate with heat and become brighter and more vibrant once pressed.
Unlike transfers that sit on top of the fabric, sublimation ink dyes directly into the polyester fibres. There is no raised, thick or heavy feeling left behind. The design becomes part of the fabric itself.
Sublimation is especially beautiful if you love that soft, vintage, dyed-in look. Higher-polyester garments will produce brighter, more vibrant colours, while polyester/cotton blends, such as 50/50, will create a softer, more faded vintage finish.
Pressing Instructions:
Preheat your heat press to 375°F.
Pre-press your shirt for 5–10 seconds to remove any moisture.
Place butcher or parchment paper inside the shirt to prevent ink from transferring through to the back.
Position the transfer print side down and secure it with heat-resistant tape.
Place butcher or parchment paper over the transfer.
Press for approximately 30–40 seconds with firm pressure.
Remove the transfer while hot.
Important:For best results, use light-coloured polyester or polyester-blend garments. Sublimation does not print white ink and is not recommended for dark or black garments.
Please Note: Every heat press and garment can vary. The temperature, time and pressure listed above are recommended starting points only.
A free test print is included with your order so you can test your heat press and make any necessary adjustments before pressing your final transfer.
